New feature: official results tab
In October, I retired the Score Feed, moving the Crowd Scorecard directly into the same page as My Scorecard. This simplified the UI and made for a much more enjoyable user experience - with the new UI, you can instantly jump between your own scores and the crowdsourced scores for any individual fight.
This week, I added another tab to the same page: Official Results. This new tab does exactly what it’s name suggests - it shows you the official result of the fight. The current version of the Official Results tab is bare bones, showing just the winning athlete, method (e.g., TKO), and round (e.g., 2nd). However, my plan for future iterations is to include official judges scorecards and more detailed fighter stats. This will allow users to quickly jump between their own scorecard, the crowd scorecard, and the official judges scorecards.
The Official Results tab is already available on the web and is in the approval process for the App Store. Give it a go this weekend for UFC Qatar and let me know what you think!
That’s it for now - back to work.
